This fundamental course provides a comprehensive introduction to piano playing, establishing a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects. The curriculum includes: 

  • Foundational Techniques: Basic exercises, both hands playing, and left-hand patterns. 
  • Genre Exploration: Lessons based on Blues, Indian, and Western music, encompassing both Old and New Bollywood songs. 
  • Harmonic & Melodic Development: Basic and Advanced chords, inversions, arpeggios, and comping techniques. 
  • Core Musicianship: Basics of rhythm, ear training, and the theory of music. 
  • Effective Learning Strategies: Guidance on the right approach to learning. 
  • Interactive Learning: A dedicated Q&A session.

What You'll Need 

To get the most out of this course, you’ll need one of the following instruments: 

  • An acoustic or digital piano 
  • A 5-octave keyboard with touch-sensitive keys 
  • A MIDI keyboard 
  • Printout of  the provided PDF materials.  

For the best results, we recommend practicing for at least 30-40 minutes every day. 

 

Please note: This is the first course in a sequential series. To get the most from your learning journey, we recommend completing the courses in order.  

 

The instructor teaches primarily in Hindi with some English.
